Truck jumps curb, pins pedestrian to wall
WASCO, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — A pedestrian was pinned between a building and a Ford pickup Monday in a crash in Wasco.
The pickup jumped the curb and hit the man on the sidewalk before plowing into a building on the 600 block of F Street, the Kern County Sheriff's Office said.
Investigators blamed a possible brake failure for the crash.
The man was rushed to Kern Medical Center with reportedly major injuries to both legs.
Names of the injured man and the woman behind the wheel were not immediately released.
The building, which houses Iberoamerican Travel, was being examined for possible structural damage.
