Identified Flying Object: World's largest airship soars over Oregon
EUGENE, Ore. - Oh, the humanity!
Necks across Western Oregon craned skyward as a long silvery ship slipped through the air.

The zeppelin, opearted by Airship Ventures and sponsored by Farmers Insurance, offers passenger sight-seeing tours. The ship is returning from its San Francisco base from a Northwest tour that included helping federal scientists study whales in the Puget Sound area.
Stretching 15-feet longer than a 747 and 50-feet longer than the largest blimp, the craft is the world's largest airship and one of only two Zeppelins commercially flying in the world today.
Unlike a blimp, a zeppelin has an interior superstructure.
The Eureka airship is based in California and offers passenger flightseeing tours above San Francisco, Silicon Valley, Monterey, Sacramento, San Diego and Los Angeles.
