BOISE, Idaho - Authorities say a Boise, Idaho woman has been arrested after she apparently told females she was a doctor and then performed breast exams at several local bars.

Boise Police detectives say Kristina Ross, 37, who used to be a man and then had reconstructive surgery, has been charged with two felony counts for the unlicensed practice of medicine.

Officials say they were called to a downtown Boise medical office by employees of a licensed plastic surgeon the morning of Nov. 2.

Employees told police they had taken several calls in recent weeks from women asking for a doctor claiming they had appointments with that doctor.

The women were asking for a Dr. "Berlyn Aussieahshowna." But no one by that name worked at the office.

Police were able to get a hold of some of the women who contacted the doctor's office. The witnesses say they met the "doctor" at local downtown bars who then used a real doctor's office phone number as a way to get a hold of her.

Authorities say Ross apparently used vocabulary and medical terminology while at the bars. Her knowledge apparently led the victims to believe that she was indeed a doctor.

Officials say Ross touched the women's breasts at the bars under the impression that a breast exam was being performed. The women were apparently seeking information on possible breast augmentation surgery.

Police say there could be more victims. If anyone has information about this case, they're asked to call (208) 343-COPS.
