Grizzly bears in zoo test new garbage bins

SEATTLE -- Two Woodland Park Zoo grizzly bears helped test a new garbage bin to ensure it's strong enough to keep out their brothers and sisters in the wild.
The bears, Keema and Denali, were let loose on a new 32-gallon BearSaver cart filled with salmon to see if they could get in. The carts are manufactured by CleanScapes and will soon be offered to residents in Issaquah.
Beginning July 1, Issaquah residents who have had problems with wildlife getting into their garbage cans will be able to rent a BearSaver for $1.50 per month, according to CleanScapes.
