Satellite Art
In this undated artwork by iam8bit, Inc., shows a rendition of the world's first orbiting work of art etched into the side of a satellite that a British company is scheduled to send into orbit on Oct. 29 aboard a Soyuz rocket to be launched from Kazakhstan. In building the small satellite that will monitor atmospheric conditions and send back photos and other information from 373 miles above Earth, he turned to Jon Gibson and Amanda White and their popular iam8bit gallery in Los Angeles. The pop art etched into a satellite's panel, transforms the spacecraft into a replica of an oversized electrical charging device. (AP Photo/iam8bit, Inc.)
