NOVEMBER Photo by YouNews reporter whitehawk
Rather benign month as temperatures average near normal. Strong cold front pushed across the region on the 7th, with west to northwest winds gusting 30 to 40 mph as the front passed. However, not much rain in November as once again the storm track was shunted too far north. In part due to persistent high pressure over the western United States. After the 25th, fog was common at night into the morning hours. with temperatures just below 32 F many areas in the south Willamette Valley experienced icy and/or frosty roadways. NEW RECORDS: November 22nd set a new record low with 19 F, beating the 25 F set in 1980.
