WINCHESTER BAY, Ore. -- The annual event at the Douglas County coast brings in sand rail, quads and anything else you can ride on the dunes to Reedsport and Winchester Bay.
So, if you are looking for everything sand, you're in luck: Dunefest is back.
The event kicked off Wednesday.
The festival includes sand drags, moto activities, a demo track and more.
Organizers also say there's a lot of activities for young kids, including a track set up for riders 10 and under.
The event will run through Sunday, and if you are interesting in finding out about all of the happenings at Dunefest, you can visit their Web site.
People come from across the nation to attend Dunefest. Promoto Promotions always provides smoothly coordinated events for riders of all skill levels, from Beginner to Pro, from youth to senior. Dunefest provides Vendors an opportunity to sell their products, for shoppers to get great buys. Plus our gas stations, motels, grocery stores, restaurants get an added boost in tough economy. I raced when I was still in my 40's, but they have no +50 classes. I don't remember any overtime being generated for the local ambulance crews....an offhand, and ill informed comment I guess?
