Oregon Wildfires
An Oregon Department of Transportation sign warns drivers on the Redwood Hwy going west out of Grants Pass, Ore., on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Lightning and stormy weather are moving into Oregon. Authorities said Wednesday the question now is whether that's going to mean more wildfires or whether the change in the weather will eventually bring rain to tame some of the flames. The lightning began overnight in Southern Oregon, although few new fires were immediately reported. It often takes several hours, or even days, for lightning-caused fires to show up. Four small fires were reported in far southeastern Oregon. Fire managers at the Big Windy complex of forest fires along the Rogue River in southwest Oregon reported thunder rumbling Wednesday morning. (AP Photo/The Daily Courier, Timothy Bullard)
