BOISE, Idaho (KBOI) - Olympic Gold Medal Winner Kristin Armstrong has had two of her Olympic bicycles stolen between Europe and Boise.

Exergy Race officials said Armstrong discovered two empty bike boxes at her home in Boise on Tuesday.

She was expecting her Olympic Gold medal winning Felt DA time trial bike and her Felt F1 road bike, which had been on display at Eurobike in Friedrichshafen, Germany from Aug. 2 through Sept. 1.

The bikes were then packaged and shipped through a courier from Germany to Atlanta, Georgia.

At this time it is not know which location the bikes were stolen from but an investigation is underway.

“The bikes mean so much to me. My TT bike is a symbol of all the hard work that has been put in to this journey," Armstrong said. “It is sad to think that somebody out there has taken this away from me and my family.”
