PORTLAND, Ore. - Majestic bald eagles, inquisitive-looking barn owls, regal elk, busy beavers - we know they're out there but where can we find them?

Most of us just stumble upon wildlife while we're enjoying the outdoors but there is a way to zero in on their habitats and get an up close view.

We're talking about the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife's Wildlife Viewing Map - a statewide map pinpointing the best places to go and what you'll find when you get there.

And now that springtime is near, it's the best time of year to get out there and see all the creatures that make nature their home.

The map is easy to navigate - just click on a point on the map and you'll get a pop-up telling you all about the wildlife in that specific area. Or if you know the name of where you want to go, just find it on the list on the left.
