CRESWELL, Ore. - Falling 120 mph from 10,000 feet in the sky: Some people do this for fun.
Reporter Katie Boer did it for the Extreme Katie project, a series exploring outdoor adventures in the Pacific Northwest.
She said a few things crossed her mind before jumping out of a plane almost 2 miles above the Earth.
- How in the world can I get out of this? And ...
- I'm going to die
That is why she prepared with the help of Urban Moore of Eugene Skydivers, which manages one of four certified drop zones in the state.
Boer said the plunge hardly seemed real until she was back on solid ground.
