Robinson edges DeFazio in 2nd-quarter fundraising

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) — Democratic Congressman Peter DeFazio was outraised last quarter by his Republican rival.
Federal Election Commission records show GOP scientist Art Robinson raised $182,000 during the April-to-June fundraising period. DeFazio raised $154,000 during the same period.
Robinson spent a big chunk of his money during the period, however, so DeFazio has a significant edge in cash left to spend. Robinson reported having about $50,000 in the bank at the end of June, compared with $650,000 in DeFazio's coffers.
The November election will be a rematch of 2010, when DeFazio won by a wide margin. The Democratic-leaning district covers southwestern Oregon.

Defazio needs to either tell the truth, show evidence of his accusations or keep his mouth shut. I have studied his accusations against Robinson. I don't know if Robinson would be a good candidate or not, but I do know that Defazio is a career politician and a member of the Progressive movement. He has made statements that appear to be totally inaccurate about Robinson. Again I would suggest that Mr. Defazio display some honor for a change and be truthful and factual. If Mr. Defazio can't do that I would suggest he let someone else that can be truthful have that office for the best of the people of Oregon. If Robinson gets elected I would expect no less from him.
