Veterans knew they'd meet Obama before 'unscheduled' lunch stop

PORTLAND, Ore. - What was first reported to be an unscheduled stop to a Northeast Portland diner during President Barack Obama's visit to Oregon Tuesday turned out to be not so spontaneous after all, The Oregonian reports.
Jeff Mapes, the newspaper's senior political reporter, uncovered that the three veterans the president lunched with "didn't just happen to wander into the Gateway Breakfast House."
Here're a couple excerpts:
"All (the veterans) have connections to the Obama reelection campaign and were presumably chosen for good political reasons."
And ...
"On Tuesday morning, all three met with a staffer and were driven to the restaurant and arrived shortly before Obama. The three said the restaurant workers and other patrons received notice only a few minutes before the president arrived."

Well duh. It's all a big show. Who doesn't know that by now?
All part of the teleprompter approach. Orchestrated and well choreographed "spontaneity" that fools no one. Well, some.
@OregonOrator So true, let's elect the same party that took us from Surplus to Recession. That'll prove we're not fools.http://www.factcheck.org/2008/02/the-budget-and-deficit-under-clinton/
