Write-in count for circuit court judge set for Nov. 13

EUGENE, Ore. - No one filed for a seat on the bench of Lane County Circuit Court in time for the November ballot.

So the incumbent - Jay McAlpin, appointed by Gov. John Kitzhaber to finish out Judge Mary Ann Bearden's seat - and at least 3 other challengers waged write-in campaigns for position on the court.

Results from the write-in won't be immediately available.

On November 13, a team of four counters will handy tally the write-ins, according to the county clerk.

The count could finish that day or go into November 14.
