EUGENE, Oregon – The No. 2 Oregon Ducks softball team completed the series sweep of No. 9 Louisiana on Saturday by taking both games of a double header. The Ducks won the first game 10-2 in five innings, and took the second 2-1 in eight innings to close out the weekend.

The No. 2 Oregon Ducks softball team filled the record books on Saturday in their 8-0 win over No. 9 Louisiana. Junior pitcher Cheridan Hawkins threw her sixth career no-hitter and senior Janie Takeda broke the record for most hits and stolen bases in Oregon history.

After a less than stellar offensive performance in the second game of the Civil War series on Saturday, both the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers had an impressive day at the plate on Sunday in a 10-9 Oregon victory that gave the Ducks their first conference series win of the season, and their first over rival Oregon State since the 2011 season.
