Duck Football: Harris named to Lott watch list

Oregon cornerback Cliff Harris is one of 42 players on the watch list for the Lott IMPACT Trophy, an annual award recognizing one of the top defensive players in college football.

Harris, who will be a junior in the fall, is one of seven Pac-12 players on the preseason list. The Ducks had two players on last season's Lott watch list - departed seniors
Casey Matthews and Kenny Rowe - with Matthews recognized as one of four finalists.

UO's fourth consensus All-America in 2010, Harris led the NCAA with 23 passes defended and 17 pass breakups, while leading the conference - No. 10 in the NCAA - with six interceptions. He was one of 10 semifinalists for the Jim Thorpe Award a year ago and was also on the watch list for the Chuck Bednarik Award.
