(AP Photo/Chris Park, File) By Associated PressEUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Expect to see Mike Bellotti back on the field as the Oregon Ducks go into spring practice. The 14-year head coach is due to succeed Athletic Director Pat Kilkenny on July 1. Before that, though, he'll fill in as quarterbacks coach for the spring workouts beginning Tuesday. Offensive coordinator Chip Kelly moved up to coach officially on Monday and said he plans to hire a quarterbacks coach. That's a job he did for Bellotti in the past. But Kelly hasn't yet filled the position. He said Monday he wanted a full complement of coaches for the spring and had an easy choice with a top candidate "in our own backyard." |
