6A Championship: The Sheldon vs. Lake Oswego rivalry continues

For the second year in a row, Sheldon and Lake Oswego will battle for the state championship, as the two teams will meet in the playoffs for the ninth time in the past eleven years.

Last season the Lakers beat the Irish 47-14 to win their first state title in school history. Now they are looking for two in a row while Sheldon is seeking its first championship since 2009. Both teams enter Saturday's 1:00 kickoff at Jeld-Wen Field undefeated.

"It's something I've been dreaming of, along with all the seniors, it's something I've been dreaming about since first grade," said senior QB Taylor Alie.

Senior WR Connor Strahm added, "It would be good to go out on top. It's something we've been working for since we started playing football. That's the reason why we play football."
