R/G: Ernie Kent tells team he is done
According to Bob Clark of the Register-Guard, Ernie Kent told his team that he is indeed being replaced as Head Coach after the Pac-10 Tournament.
Saturday night, KVAL's Tom Ward broke the story that Kent had been told he would not be retained the Monday following home losses to the Bay Area schools (2/22).
Prior to Monday's practice, Ernie Kent answered questions from the media about reports that his tenure with the University of Oregon men's basketball program would come to an end when the Duck season is over.
For the third season in a row, the Ducks open the Pac-10 Tournament against Washington State.
Oregon tips off with the Cougars at 8:00 on Wednesday night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
