Oregon literally landed a new head coach for the men's basketball program Sunday night as Dana Altman arrived at Eugene airport just before 6:00 in Pat Kilkenny's private jet.

Kilkenny's jet began the day in Indianapolis, Indiana. It then landed in Lincoln, Nebraska to pick up Atlman. That is where the Raytheon Hawker 800 twin-jet took off for Duck Country.

The jet flew immediately into a private hangar. A silver Suburban pulled out minutes later, with Kilkenny driving and Altman in the passenger seat.

After nearly six weeks of searching for Ernie Kent's replacement, the Ducks found their guy in Omaha, Nebraska.

Altman spent the past 16 seasons at Creighton. He led the Bluejays to seven NCAA tournament apperances, but none in the past three years.

An official press conference announcing the hiring is set for 1 p.m. Monday at Matthew Knight Arena.
