CORVALLIS, Ore. – The Oregon State baseball team finds itself ranked eighth nationally in the Perfect Game USA top 25 preseason rankings, which were released Tuesday. The Beavers are one of six Pac-12 Conference teams in the rankings and it is their second top 10 ranking of the preseason.

Oregon State, in December, was ranked 10th in the nation by Collegiate Baseball and follows that up by being one of four Pac-12 teams in the top 10. Stanford is fourth, UCLA is sixth and Oregon is 10th to round out the top 10. Arizona, meanwhile, is 21st followed by No. 25 Arizona State.

North Carolina is No. 1 in the poll, followed by No. 2 Arkansas, then No. 3 Vanderbilt, No. 4 Stanford and No. 5 LSU.

The Beavers finished the 2012 regular season ranked 23rd by Perfect Game, the sixth top 25 finish in the past eight seasons by Rivals/Perfect Game.
