Ems walk off with 7-6 victory in the 12th

EUGENE, Ore.-- Corey Adamson scored the game winning run in the 12th inning, as the Eugene Emeralds walked off with a come from behind 7-6 victory over the Everett Aquasox on Thursday night.
The Ems were down 6-4 in the bottom of the 9th, but Chris Burke scored on a Ronnie Richardson single to make it 6-5. Then with the bases loaded, Stephen Carmon scored on a Dane Phillips sacrifice fly to force extra innings.
In the 12th, with the bases loaded once again, Richardson singled to center to bring in Adamson for the game winner.
The Aquasox got on the board first in the 2nd inning, when Patrick Kivlehan hit the first of his two home runs in the game.
In the 5th Alfredo Morales hit one of the furthest homers in PK Park history. A 3-run blast to right field landed near Oregon's new lacrosse field. That made it 4-0 Everett.
The Ems came back in the bottom of the frame. With the bases loaded, Stephen Carmon singled down the left field line to score two. The next batter, Ronnie Richardson, laid down a squeeze bunt to score Chris Burke to make it 4-3.
Everett scored one in the 6th, and then Kivlehan hit his second homer in the 7th to make it 6-4.
The Ems go for the 3-game sweep against Everett on Friday at 7:05 PM.
