Familiar teams return to 5A girls state tournament

Seven teams which made the 5A girls state tournament in 2012 are back in the tourney in 2013, including two-time defending champion Springfield.
The Millers blew out Silverton 63-23 on Saturday. Springfield will take on Lebanon on Thursday at 1:30pm at Matthew Knight Arena.
Joining the Millers at Matt is Midwestern League rival Willamette which defeated Crescent Valley 63-40. The Wolverines will play Milwaukie at 6:30pm.
Three teams from the Mid-Willamette League advanced to the state tournament. West Albany, Corvallis and Lebanon all won on Saturday. The Bulldogs and Spartans will square off for the third time this year in the night's final game at 8:15pm.
Hermiston and Bend are the other two teams to advance. They will play at 6:30pm.
Corvallis is the lone new comer to the state tournament.
