Marist Football '12: Season Outlook

Suffering just two losses in the past three seasons, the Marist Spartans are attempting to claim their first state title since 2009 (55-16 over Baker) when they were in the 4A classification.
The Spartans went 11-1 in 2011 as their only defeat came in the 5A semifinals to the eventual state champions from Mountain View, 31-14.
Marist opens up the season on Friday August 31st at Bend, then return home the following week against non-league rival Sherwood on the 7th. (The Bowmen kept the Spartans from winning the OSAA 5A championship in 2010 with a 26-23 victory in overtime.)
