Marist buddies help Spartans claim first 5A banner

Nate Krause leads the Marist boys to the OSAA 5A Boys State Golf Championship at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell.
Krause came away with co-medalist honors with West Albany's Connor Kumpula as the Spartans won the team title by six-strokes. It will be the first 5A banner raised at MHS.
Krause carded a final round 74 to finish at +4.
Krause, who transferred from Sheldon for his junior year, has been longtime buddies with fellow senior Brent Pollock.
Pollock shot a final round 77 to finish in third at +8.
