OTC Elite's Kipyego wins silver in women's 10K

LONDON, ENGLAND - Oregon Track Club Elite's Sally Kipyego won the silver medal in the women's 10,000 meters at Olympic Stadium in London on Friday. Kipyego trains in Eugene, but runs for her home country of Kenya. Her time of 30:26.37 was a lifetime best. Ethiopia's Tirunesh Dibaba won the event in a seasonal best time of 30:20.75. Dibaba won gold in the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in both the 10K and 5K. Kenya's Vivian Cheruiyot won the bronze medal with a personal best of 30:30.44. Amy Hasting was the top American finishing 11th in 31:10.69. Lisa Uhl, who competes for Portland's Oregon Track Club was 13th.
