ALBANY, Ore.-- The Bulldogs play together like a family. They're sisters on and off the court.

"We have good chemistry with each other,” said senior Sam Siegner. “We always know where one person is going to be, so I enjoy it."

“Yea I like it,” said sophomore Ashton Siegner.

For Sam and Ashton, their sibling rivalry is a never ending competition but growing up it created a special bond.

"We always got after it on our home court,” said Sam. “That's fun and it's good that we finally get to play with each other."

"We definitely fought a lot just like a couple of sisters,” said Ashton. “Then we got tighter once we got to high school and got to play together."

Big sister Sam, a 6’3” forward, has already committed to play at Oregon State next season.

Not so little sister Ashton, a 6’1” forward, isn't too far behind.

"Sam is a little bit more low key,” said Bulldogs head coach Craig Swanson, I think she is goal driven and that type of stuff. Ashton, I think, is that middle sister that's going to do what she needs to do."

Last week in a win over South Albany, Sam scored 18-points. Not to be outdone, Ashton matched her with 18-points of her own.

The sibling rivalry is far from over.

"Every once in a while we'll play one-on-one after practice and someone gets thrown to the ground,” laughs Sam. “We still get after it."

With this being their last year together at West Albany, this sister act is trying to make one more title run.
