Marist leads 5A state tourney at Emerald Valley

The Marist Spartans shot +29 as a team to take a five-stroke lead on Corvallis after round one of the 5A OSAA State Golf Championships at Emerald Valley Golf Club in Creswell.

Corvallis senior Chase Lamothe is the individual leader after carding an even-par 72.

Marist senior Nate Krause is two-strokes back with a 74. Fellow senior Brent Pollock is right there at +3 with a 75.
