Stanford vs. Oregon: Kickoff at noon or 5 PM

EUGENE – Kickoff for the University of Oregon’s Nov. 17 regular-season home finale vs. Stanford has been narrowed down to either noon or 5 p.m. PST, according to an announcement Tuesday by the Pac-12 Conference.
In accordance with the conference’s television agreements with ABC/ESPN and FOX, the networks have chosen to invoke one of their six-day selection options before finalizing the start times for two of that weekend’s premier games in the country - Stanford at Oregon and USC at UCLA.
One of the games will start at noon and be televised on FOX while the other will kick off at 5 p.m. and air on ABC.
A final determination of start times will be announced Sunday, Nov. 11.
Oregon (9-0, 6-0 Pac-12) and Stanford (7-2, 5-1) are engaged in a battle for the Pac-12 North Division title while USC (6-3, 4-3) and UCLA (7-2, 4-2) are among the leaders for the conference’s South Division championship. The Ducks travel to California Saturday, while Stanford hosts Oregon State, USC entertains Arizona State and UCLA is at Washington State.
It looks like the game is at 5 p.m. on Saturday. This is another huge matchup for Oregon if they want to stay in the driverâs seat for a spot in the BCS national championship game. I found out about the kickoff time since I scrolled through my Hopperâs GameFinder app from DISH. A coworker at DISH told me about this feature, and Iâve been able to keep up of when Oregon football is on TV more quickly. The stakes are also high for Stanford since if they win theyâll have a chance to go to the Pac-12 championship game if they win.
