They have made the 6A playoffs in back-to-back seasons but making it a third straight year may prove to be a tall task for the Thurston Colts.
Justin Starck's squad is young and inexperienced this season. Thurston will be relying on the progress of last year's junior varsity squad.
The hope is the Colts will sneak up on opponent in 2012.
Thurston opens the season on the road against Oregon recruit Thomas Tyner and Aloha this Friday.
