EUGENE, Ore. - A group of Springfield kids learned how to be "good Ducks" Sunday and got to meet some of their sports "heroes".
It was part of the University of Oregon Athletic Departments 'Quackin' Action' event at the Moshofsky Center.
UO student athletes from all different sports hosted 250 kids for the event, which focuses on sportsmanship, fitness, nutrition and teamwork.
"I remember being a little kid and I looked up to a lot of people and just to have them come out here and to have some fun with us, it's a big thing for them," said UO football player Isaac Remington.
Kids were split up into teams and were paired with athletes.
Each made up a team name and poster.
They ran exercises, jumped hurdles, and learned about how to eat right.
The event is a partnership between the athletic department and the O Heroes program.
