Blount scores first TD of his troubled season
EUGENE, Ore. -- LeGarrette Blount took the field in a tight Oregon Civil War with rival Oregon State and put together 4 carries for 21 yards -- including a 12-yard touchdown, his first touchdown of the season -- in only his second game of the season and his last home game as a Duck.
Blount, a senior, was suspended after punching a Boise State player at the conclusion of the season's first game. He was reinstated to the team but had yet to see playing time -- until the second half of the Civil War game.

Oregon RB Blount sees first action since punch
EUGENE, Ore. (AP) - Oregon running back LeGarrette Blount ran for a touchdown on Thursday night against Oregon State, his first appearance since punching a Boise State player after the Ducks' season opener.
Blount ran for a 12-yard score midway through the third quarter at Autzen Stadium.
He was suspended for the season after he punched Boise State defensive end Byron Hout in the aftermath of the Broncos' 19-8 victory on Sept. 3.
Blount missed eight games, but was kept on scholarship and allowed to practice with the team.
He was reinstated in mid-November after meeting certain academic and behavior conditions set by coach Chip Kelly.
