Ducks 2-0, Bucks 0-2 against common opponents

PASADENA, Ore. -- Two common opponents, two wins, and two losses.

Advantage: Ducks.

Usually you get one common opponent in a bowl matchup, but the Ducks and the Buckeyes both played USC and Purdue -- with very different results.

The Buckeyes lost a close one 18-15 at home to USC in freshman Matt Barkley's first road start.

Oregon hammered the Trojans at Autzen 47-20 in a game that wasn't even that close.

As for the Purdue game, Oregon manufactured a win at home 10 days after the Boise blowup when some folks wondered if they could even win a game this season.

Ohio State went to West Lafayette, Ind., and got beat by Purdue in mid-October, but then ran the table the rest of the way.
