Ducks start spring football practice April 1

EUGENE, Ore. - The University of Oregon’s football program will conduct it’s first of 15 spring practices on Tuesday, April 1.

The five-week session will conclude on Saturday, May 3, with the annual Spring Game. The intrasquad scrimmage is scheduled to kick off at 11 a.m. in Autzen Stadium and will be televised by the Pac-12 Networks.

The Ducks are practicing 3 times per week for 5 weeks:

Week #1 (April 1) – Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday

Week #2 (April 7) – Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Week #3 (April 14) – Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Week #4 (April 21) – Monday, Wednesday, Friday

Week #5 (April 28) – Monday, Wednesday, Saturday

Head Coach Mark Helfrich is expected to be available for interviews following the majority of practices, the athletic department said.

Quarterback Marcus Mariota will be available for media interviews one day a week. He will be available following the first practice on April 1 and most likely each following Monday, the department said.

Defensive Coordinator Don Pellum will be available to news media following Wednesday practices.

Offensive Coordinator Scott Frost will be available to news media following Friday practices.
