La Salle Prep outshoots Siuslaw for 4A State Title
The Siulsaw Vikings suffered their first loss of the season Saturday evening with a 45-40 loss to La Salle Prep at Hillsboro Stadium for the 4A State Championship game.
In their first trip to the title game, the Falcons (14-0) won it all why the Vikings (12-1) were last crowned in 2006.

HILLSBORO, Ore. (AP) — J.J. Fisher rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns to lead La Salle Prep to a 45-40 win over Siuslaw in the OSAA Class 4A state football championship game Saturday at Hillsboro Stadium.
La Salle quarterback Mark Holenstein passed for 235 yards and two touchdowns for the Falcons (14-0), who claimed their first state title in football.
Siuslaw (12-1) jumped to a 21-7 first quarter lead, but La Salle rallied behind Fisher, who scored all of his touchdowns during the first half. The senior running back scored touchdowns on runs of 1 and 17 yards late in the second quarter to give the Falcons a 35-28 halftime lead.
Siuslaw pulled to within 35-34 when the Vikings scored on their first drive of the second half, a 29-yard touchdown pass from John Johnson to Ryan Smith. But La Salle built a double-digit lead in the fourth quarter and held on.
