Eugene, Ore- Running, catching and even throwing, junior Connor Strahm knows how to find the end zone.

"Obviously at the end of the game, you look at the scoreboard you kind of wonder what happened,” said Strahm. “It's fun."

Strahm is having the time of his life.

In three playoff games he's accounted for nine touchdowns and, as a defender, two interceptions.

"He's been unbelievable,” said head coach Lane John. “I can't say I was expecting it, but it doesn't really surprise me because he's a pretty unique kid."

Johnson said he first noticed that Strahm was a special player during the playoffs last season. Now the head coach just tries to say out of the way.

"He goes hard all the time,” said Johnson. “He's a great practice player. He doesn't ever want to come out, which as a coach you love. He's a go getter."

Strahm comes from a pretty athletic family. Both of his parents were athletes at Oregon. His father, Curt, was on the wrestling team. And his mom, Kim, was on the softball team.

"My dad wasn't much of a football player but definitely the size I got from him," said Strahm.

"He's strong, he's fast and he knows the game,” said quarterback Dillon Miller. “He's a very smart player as well."

Strahm was a freshman on the 2009 Irish team that won it all, and now he wants another taste of victory, this time as the go to guy.

"It would mean a lot more than back in the day."
