It's hard to say which team has gotten the better of the other.

First year Sheldon head coach Lane Johnson said, "They had a great back last year, the (Tyson) Coleman kid that's at Oregon. We had a hard time tackling him. They were just really, really good last year. We didn't play particularly well. They got the best of us. That's for sure."

Lake Oswego defeated Sheldon in Eugene last year 45-14. In 2010, the Irish roughed up the Lakers 44-7. The two teams meet again this Saturday for the 6A title at 1:00 at Jeld-Wen Field in Portland.

Irish senior wide receiver Connor Strahm said, "It's kind of fate that we end up playing each other. Now this year is for all the marbles. So, just really excited to get a shot at them after what they did to us last year."

Sheldon will be going for its fourth state championship and third in the last five years. However, it would be the first for Coach Johnson who served as defensive coordinator for the past three championships.

"It would feel no different to me. I know I'd like to get another one for our kids because lots of our kids haven't experienced this," Johnson added.

Will the fourth time be the charm for Lake Oswego or will Sheldon hoist its fourth trophy? We'll find out Saturday.
