Postgame reaction from Willamette head coach Paul Brothers (coached Wolverines to state championships in 2007 & 2009) who said the Wolverines decided Saturday morning to install the plan to milk the clock in order to slow down Mercedes Russell.

Russell was the leading scorer with 7 points as Springfield repeated at 5A State Champions in the lowest scoring girls state title game in OSAA history, 16-7 over Willamette.
