Pac-10 opener for OSU to air on Versus
By Associated Press and KVAL.com staffCORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — The Versus network says it will television Oregon State's Pac-10 opener against Arizona.
Kickoff for the Sept. 26 matchup is 4:30 p.m. The game could be a meeting between a pair of top-25 teams, pending the outcome of this week's action. The 2-0 Beavers host No. 17 Cincinnati this Saturday and will almost certainly be ranked if they can beat the Bearcats. That could be a tall order: AccuScore forecasts the Beavers to win, but only by 3/10s of a point. In over 10,000 computer simulations of the game, OSU won 50 percent, Cincinnati 49 percent. Arizona, meanwhile, could break into the Top 25 with a win at Iowa. AccuScore forecasts Arizona as the underdog in that matchup, favoring Iowa in over 60 percent of the simulations with an average spread of 27-20. (Copyright 2009 The Associated Press) |
