EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon will open the 2013 football season with consecutive early home kickoffs on national television networks, it was revealed by the Pac-12 Conference Wednesday.
The Ducks' Aug. 31 opener vs. Nicholls State at Autzen Stadium will kickoff at 1 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1, while UO's much anticipated clash with Tennessee on Sept. 14 is slated for 12:30 p.m. PT and will be carried by ABC, ESPN or ESPN2.
Oregon's final home game of the regular season - the 117th edition of the Civil War vs. Oregon State on Friday, Nov. 29 - will kickoff at 4 p.m. PT on FOX Sports 1.
Other confirmed television selections involving the Ducks are Oregon at Stanford Thursday, Nov. 7 at 6 p.m. PT on ESPN, and the Sept. 28 home game vs. Cal and Oct. 5 road contest at Colorado, both on Pac-12 Networks with times to be determined.
Oregon's non-conference road game at Virginia on Sept. 7 was previously announced as a 12:30 p.m. PT start on ABC and ESPN2.
All told, the Ducks now have kickoff times for five of their 12 regular season games, including three of seven at Autzen Stadium. All remaining game times and television network designations, starting with Week 4 (Sept. 21), will be determined in-season and made 12 or six days in advance.
