Prep Football: Johnson steps down at Sheldon

He turned the Sheldon Irish into a football dynasty, but Marty Johnson has stepped down as the head coach.

In 14 seasons with the Irish, Johnson went 137-27 and won three state titles.

He was 29-and-9 in the playoffs, but Sheldon lost in the quarterfinals this year to Lake Oswego, capping off an 11-1 season.

Johnson plans on spending more time watching his son Jordan play football at the University of Montana.
