Marathon registration up 25 percent

The Eugene Marathon is May 4, 2008, and this year more people are signing up.

Organizer Richard Mayer said about 6,000 runners are signed up, a 25 percent increase from last year.

Marathon-related events begin Friday, May 2, and continue through Sunday, May 4.
