EUGENE, Ore. -- Runs for the Rose Bowl seem to bring out the musical side of Duck fans. Whether it's acoustic guitar or hip hop, it always seems to be a catchy tune.

In 1995, Eugene musician John Doll played "Gang Green in the Backfield" as the Ducks played their way to the Rose Bowl.

Now Supwitchugirl has "I Love My Ducks" with lyrics like, "Holy moley/is that my boy Masoli?/Cookin' up the offense like he's cookin' ravioli."

A trio of Oregon students have launched the next generation of Rose Bowl-inspired songs with "I Love my Ducks."

"Besides Brian editing the video, that's one of the most timely things, is writing our verses, because there's so many ways you can go," said Michael Bishop, one of the UO seniors behind the project.

The video, produced and directed by Oregon senior Brian McAndrews, was shot in and around Autzen Stadium.

"I love my ducks -- it's like, you know, sometimes on a good play, I just get all, like I love Oregon football, so i just say, 'I love my ducks,' " said Jamie Slade, a UO senior involved in the project.

It took them three days to write, shoot and edit the video project, which was produced to air on student television.

Oregon head coach Chip Kelly even sent the guys a message, telling them how much he enjoyed the video.

"We put it up on Sunday night," Slade said, "and within 24 hours, we got an e-mail from Chip Kelly's assistant saying that he loved it, telling us that he showed Mike Bellotti it."
