Putnam conquers the 9th to remain in first
Current Oregon Ducks Daniel Miernicki and Eugene Wong are tied for third at even par at the 44th Pacific Coast Amateur Championship.
Miernicki shot a one over 72 in Thursday's third round while Wong shot a two over 73.
Second round leader Andrew Putnam extended his lead with a one under 70. While many golfers struggled with the 9th hole's difficult pin placement, Putnam birdie it. Putnam also birdied the final three holes to take a five stroke lead into Friday's final round.
