Hoffa, Cantwell, Nelson qualify in men's shot put

EUGENE, Ore. (AP) -- Reese Hoffa, Christian Cantwell and Adam Nelson have qualified for the U.S. Olympic team in the men's shot put.

Hoffa, the reigning world outdoor champion, finished first Saturday at the trials to determine the roster for the Beijing Games.

Cantwell was second, and two-time Olympic silver medalist Adam Nelson was third.
