CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) - Orion Wright had 14 points and 10 rebounds and top-ranked Cascade beat Philomath 45-37 to advance to the OSAA Class 4A championship game.
Truman Clark added 14 points for Cascade (26-1), which was making its first appearance in the semifinals since 1998. The Cougars will play the winner of Thursday night's late game between La Salle Prep and North Valley in Friday night's title game at Gill Coliseum.
Ben DeSaulnier had 15 points to lead fourth-ranked Philomath (18-5), which led at the start until Wright's layup gave Cascade a 14-13 lead with 4:42 left before the half.
Philomath wrestled back the lead, going up 25-21 on Ryan Nelson's layup midway through the third quarter.
Cascade took back the lead for good when Clark's 3-pointer made it 31-29 with 5:32 to play.
