EUGENE, OR - Jessica Leafmeeker, Marika Hoskins, Joe Schindler and Erin Clark all signed letters of intent on Thursday at South Eugene, announcing where they will attend college next fall.

Leafmeeker will compete in rowing at Tulsa University.  Hoskins will also compete in rowing, but she will do so at West Virginia University.

Joe Schindler will play baseball for Northwestern University.  Schindler was originally an Oregon recruit.  But after Northwestern saw some film of him, the Wildcats entered the picture.

"Northwestern saw some film of me from down in Florida at a Perfect Game Tournament," said Schindler.  "They liked what they saw and offered me a scholarship.  It's a really prestigious school.  Academically, it really lured me to the school."

Schindler was an All-Midwestern League and All-State selection in 2012 as a junior.  His scholarship is a combination of academic and athletic achievements.

Erin Clark will compete for the cross country and track programs at the University of Colorado.  She has a 4.0 GPA.  Her accomplishments include:  2011 3rd place Cross Country  6A, 2011 6A State Champion 3000m, 2012 6A State Runner-up 3000m, 3rd place 1500m, South Eugene school recorder holder and 2nd all time state record in 3000m – 9:40.19, #4 school record in 1500m 4:28.90, and 7th all time school record 800m 2:15.44.
