Blazers send G Rodriguez to Kings

(AP) - The Portland Trail Blazers have traded Sergio Rodriguez and draft pick Jon Brockman of Washington to the Sacramento Kings in exchange for forward Jeff Pendergraph out of Arizona State. Rodriguez, a 6-foot-3 guard from Spain, has played three seasons in the NBA, all with the Blazers. Last season he averaged 4.5 points and 3.6 assists in 15.3 minutes per game. The 6-foot-9 Pendergraph was the 31st overall pick in Thursday's NBA draft by Sacramento. He averaged 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds for the Sun Devils last season. Brockman was the 38th overall pick in the draft by Portland. He averaged 14.9 points and 11.5 rebounds for the Huskies last season. The Blazers also paid cash as part of the deal. |
