I learned of the recall on the eggs sold at Albertsons. I did some research and found AOL "American On LIne" listed this:
"The eggs come in six-egg, 12-egg and 18-egg cartons with Julian dates ranging from 136 to 225 and plant numbers 1026, 1413 and 1946. Dates and codes can be found stamped on the end of the egg carton. The plant number begins with the letter P and then the number. The Julian date (the numeric date of the year that the eggs were packaged) follows the plant number, for example: P-1946 223.
Albertsons claims that all the eggs were sent to Southern California, However the above evidance taken from several fridgerators proves otherwise. No one has told them about the Julian date and they are only going by Plant ID:

Pretty sure that's an inclusive AND, meaning both the numeric date AND ALSO the plant number. It wouldn't make any sense for every egg produced at every plant on a certain date to be bad.

Hi Sagewolf333, I work for SUPERVALU, the parent company of Albertsons, in the communications department. While the recall issued by Wright County Egg includes Albertsons brand eggs, it is currently limited to our So. Calif. stores.

Am I correct that the photos of those egg cartons don't have the plant number, just the Julian date? I would assume the AND is NOT inclusive as many egg cartons seem to only include the Julian date like those pictured above.

I have Albertsons eggs distributed by SUPERVALU INC. The cartons, like the one in the above picture, do NOT have ANY 4-digit plant code, only the expire date of AUG 31 followed by P 204. This seems to note packing date. WHERE WERE MY EGGS PACKED??
