Today, on my drive home from the market, I came across what I first thought was a bicycle rally. You know, the kind that purposely stops traffic for their cause.
But upon closer inspection, I realized, to my excitement, that this was certainly not a protest or rally at all. These great folks were actually moving one of their friends' household, and it was all done by bicycle!
Now, this is exactly why I carry my Car Cam with me! I drove around the block and stopped and asked if I could take their picture, and they said "Yes," so I caught up with them when they stopped to rest at 10th & Monroe, and commenced to take pictures of their move.
It seems that this was a co-op of friendships that together moved a family from their 39th/Amazon home to their new abode up in River Road area! Wow, wow! What a move! What great friends they have!
Their caravan of all ages from adults to very young children in arms, wound through town, even traversed into the midst of the County Fair area, and it's parking snarls of midmorning. And I must say, they were all happy and very friendly; every single one of them!
I hope they had a wonderful time with many happy memories made, from their journeys of this day!
In this day and age of instant lifestyles, it is heartwarming to see a group of like minded individuals co-op together and choose bicycles to move all of their objects from one location to another!
I am still wow-ing over it!
I never did learn their names nor do I know anything about them, nevertheless, my heart swelled to see what a wonderful group of friends have done for each other!
